Navigating between different sections of ADA Assist

An introduction to the ADA Assist Dashboard and key features within the tool.

When you first log into the ADA Assist, you will immediately see the Dashboard, which will visualize they key statuses of Accommodation Requests once your employees have started to submit requests. The chart below shows an “at-a-glance” highlight of the key areas included in the Admin portal that you can access using the left side navigation.

Dashboard

The Dashboard is designed to help you quickly see where you may need to take action.

Review high level summaries of requests by Status or by Type, and take action on Pending Decisions and Tasks sorted by Documents, Messages and Activities.

Records

Search by employee name to review the details for each employee and their requests.

Pending Decisions

The Pending Decisions tab includes any employee requests that require attention. By clicking on “Review” on a record, you can easily take action on the request:

  • Review the details of the request

  • Access the Unum Decision Guide

  • Message the employee

  • Upload documents on behalf of the employee

  • Take notes on the request

  • Approve, Cancel or Deny the request

  • Document your Decision Rationale for the employee

  • Request consultation services from a Unum ADA expert

Tasks

The Task tab represents actions for review by the employer for the Accommodation review. Employers can review tasks by Documents, Messages or Activities.

Documents: Review Documents submitted by the employee for their Accommodation Request

Message: Review Messages to and from employees regarding their Request

Activities: Review follow up actions set by the employer.

Manage Employees

Available for Super Admins to upload the new Roster Files and send Registration Emails. User Cards can be viewed under this dropdown menu as well.

Decision Guide

System Admins will have the ability to review the Decision Guide organized by General Topics with variations by States.

Forms

System Admins will have the ability to Upload Custom Forms for their Employees to use when requesting an accommodation. There is a separate tab for Unum ADA Assist Forms that are provided for employers to use in the absence of customized forms.

Submit for Employee

System Admins will have the option to submit/update ADA Accommodations on behalf of another employee.

Reports

Download available reports regarding employees (batched nightly).
