What is a queue?
A queue is a shared folder in your Updox Inbox for a certain type of work, such as Rx refills, medical records, or billing.
Only users who have access to a queue can see it.
Queues are set up in Admin, so you need Admin access.
How do I create a queue?
In the left-hand menu, click Inbox.
Click Admin in the top right, then click Queues.
Click New.
Enter a name for the queue.- Use clear and descriptive names, such as "New Patient Queue" or "Billing Queue," to make queues easier to identify.
Check Active so the queue can be used.
How do I give users access to a queue?
While creating or editing the queue, find the list of users.
Check the name of each user who should see the queue.
Check your own name too. Even if you created the queue, you won't see it unless you give yourself access.
Click Save at the bottom.
Important: Users can only see a queue if they've been given access to it.
I created a queue but I can't see it. What should I do?
Check both of these:
Did you give yourself access? Go back to the queue and make sure your name is checked.
Log out and log back in. New queues don't show up until you log in again.
To log out, click your name in the bottom left corner, then click Log Out.
Log back in to Updox.3. Verify Queue Assignment: If the Queues tab is still not visible, ask an admin to navigate to Admin > Queues, open the relevant queue, ensure your name is selected in the list of users, and click Save to finalize the changes.
After you log back in, click the Queues button in the upper right corner to see your new queue.
What can I do with queues?
Send faxes to a queue automatically. Faxes to a specific fax line can go straight to a queue.
Send completed forms to a queue. Use the Submit To setting on a form.
Get notified. Users in a queue can get an email or text when a new item arrives.
