Can I cancel or return my order?
Can I cancel or return my order?
Updated over a week ago

The cancelation and return policy depends on what you’ve ordered:

Regular orders

You can cancel your order or return the MacBook within 14 days of receiving it, as long as the MacBook's original box is unopened.

Custom builds

A custom build (also known as CTO) is made to order in Apple’s factory. You can cancel it within 24 hours of placing the order. You can not return a custom build.

How do I know if I’ve ordered a custom build?

When configuring your MacBook, the return policy appears at the bottom of the page, just above the “Check out with Upgraded” button. A custom build is also noted next to the delivery estimate when configuring your MacBook, at checkout, and in your order confirmation email. If you’re unsure, reach out—we’re happy to help.

How do I cancel or return my order?

Contact our support team via chat or email (team@getupgraded.com). We’ll cancel your order or, if you need to return it, send you a return label.

Why are we so strict on returns?

We're a small team -- just 6 people -- so if we take back an open box then we have to manually sell it somehow. This takes time and we'll never be able to get full price for it. We just aren't big enough yet to handle these kinds of losses.

What if I've opened and used my device but still want to return it?

If you've purchased a base model within the last 14 days, opened it, and begun using it, we offer a buyback option. We'll purchase the device back from you for 80% of its original MSRP. For example, if your device cost $1,000, you'll receive $800. Please note, this isn't a traditional return but rather a special buyback option we can provide.
