When someone connects with you in person or online, what is it about the initial contact that leaves a memorable impression? Introverted or extroverted, shy or bold, it seems that those who show genuine interest in you, your experiences and your organization have the best results when seeking to connect. In-person networking can allow a person to gauge how authentic and genuine you may be, but doing this online can be a bit more difficult without the behavioral cues we get from in-person meetings. However, when networking online, you have more opportunity to be deliberate about your approach, which gives you the opportunity to show your genuine interest in connecting.
