Sales has come a long way since the greasy car salesman of the 1950s. Today, sales is a huge, diverse job that spans every industry. The Bureau of Labor Statistics estimates that over 14 million people worked in sales and related occupations in 2019, which speaks to how sales-centric our world has become. But with all the focus on sales and growth, many of us still don't feel like we're effective salespeople. Fortunately, even if you were not born with the obvious 'sales' traits, many can be cultivated with confidence and the right frame of mind.
