Contact creation and updating automation

UpHabit has a lot of automated integrations for gathering contacts. We have Local Contacts, Local Calendars, social contact creation for LinkedIn, Facebook and Twitter plus of course our advanced and automated Google and Microsoft account integrations. But what if you want to integrate Google Spreadsheets and any one of over 4,000 possible integrations available with Zapier? Well, we've now got that too!

UpHabit's Zapier integration is all about creating and updating contacts in UpHabit. We're always open to adding new capabilities to our Zapier integration, and for those you can just email us at support@uphabit.com.

So just like any Zapier integration, you first need a Zapier account. Then you create a Zap that, when triggered and initiates a Zapier Task (aka a transaction), will create or update a contact in UpHabit. The fields that you get to update in UpHabit are quite extensive. Basically everything you can see in UpHabit's CSV template (found in our web UI under the menu beside "Add contacts"). It's 43 basic fields but all email, phone and social accounts can be repeated an unlimited number of times for each contact. We support 3 different mailing addresses per contact too.

If you're familiar with Zapier, it's a piece of cake.

  1. Just go to your Zapier account and create a Zap for the contact data source you'd like to use. This is called a Zapier Trigger.

  2. In the Action section of Zapier find UpHabit and add it as an Action.

  3. Map the Trigger fields from the data source to the Action fields associate with UpHabit (as mentioned above, that's the possibility of 40+ fields).

  4. Turn it on and it's all automated!

How does UpHabit know to update a contact? It's simple in a way. If we match on first name, last name and either phone number or email, it's a match and we update the associated contact in UpHabit. We also have an UpHabit contactId as a matching field, and you can see that in UpHabit by exporting your contacts on mobile under Settings > Export All Contacts.

If you want support, just email us at support@uphabit.com. If you want to book some training or to get a demo, just click here!

That's it! The power of Zapier combined with UpHabit!
