If there are 2 repurpose jewelry boxes on a single order, keep each repurpose jewelry box in its own 8 x 8 x 4 box. Seal them and place them in a 10 x 10 x 10 box. If an order contains 3 Repurpose Jewelry Boxes, ship 1 repurpose box separate and 2 in a 10 x 10 x 10 box. Salvage jewelry and broken jewelry can also be included. The most efficient way to fill Repurpose Jewelry Boxes is to include any grabbag or lot-type jewelry that your team wouldn’t list individually for sale online. Craft and repurpose items are okay in minimal quantities, but the boxes should be 99% jewelry.

Make sure each box has a variety of items. Any individual box should not be primarily made with the same items. For example, do not make a jewelry repurpose box that is all bangles. It should be a variety of jewelry items in the box.

While these boxes are for repurposing, the primary buyers are resellers. Keep this in mind when making sure that value is packed into each box.

What goes in the box:

Each Basic Apparel box contains between 10-12 pieces. The number of pieces is determined by the value of the brand contents of the box. Boxes with 10 medium – high-value pieces would not need the additional 2 pieces. See the brand guidelines below for more info. Our goal is to include accurately sized and gendered clothing pieces at a fraction of retail prices. The goal is to pack the boxes with as much value as possible. The better the brands and quality, the better the box. Apparel Boxes are sorted primarily from raw apparel donations, as well as clothing typically sold on e-commerce.

When putting a box together, take the quality-checked, sorted clothing and double-check for any damage or wear. Use a lint-roller and a fabric shaver to fix minor damage on valuable items. Apparel should not have any damage, even “pilling” of the fabric should exclude a piece of apparel from the box. The goal is to fill the box with the best brands and quality available, as these are ‘curated’ boxes, meaning that the quality and brand selection is being done for the customer. Apparel boxes are sorted carefully and only the best possible pieces are selected for each box. Our goal is for the customer to at least double their money when buying an apparel box; this value and quality threshold excludes the majority of soft-line pulls or downstream donations. Our goal is to as quickly and efficiently as possible, fill the apparel boxes with top-quality apparel, at a fraction of the costs of selling apparel individually online or in brick & mortar locations.

What doesn’t go in the box:

We don’t typically include bottoms in the Basic Apparel Box such as pants or jeans. We use jeans/denim for the Denim Repurpose boxes. We typically only include bottoms that are sized with a Letter or are very high-quality skirts. Dresses are good to go in the box, provided that they are a good brand. Don’t include any damaged pieces in the Basic Apparel Boxes. Pay special attention to holes from barbs/tags if you are using pulls.
