I feel more numbness and pain with the TOS Fix. Is this normal?

More pain and numbness is NOT the goal but it can happen. It's not a sign of doom, however.

You want to investigate further and see if you can find out WHY.

First: when do you notice the pain and numbness? During workouts? After workouts? With specific exercises?

If you get symptoms after workouts:

  • Pay more attention during your next workout. Pay attention to each exercise and see if you notice any of the issues mentioned below and follow the recommendations.

If you notice a specific exercise causing problems:

  • Check your form. Make sure you aren't cheating/compensating or positioning your spine or shoulders in an unintended slouch.

  • Reduce your intensity on the exercise. Often going too hard or doing too many reps can create problems. Slow is safe. Fast is foolish.

  • If you modify and correct these issues and an exercise still seems to aggravate, skip that exercise for two weeks. Test it again when you feel ready to see if it is still an issue.
