Whether you've been told you have venous, arterial, vascular, or neurological Thoracic Outlet Syndrome, the Shoulder Fix program may be worth trying.
It's important to remember that these different categories don't even provide particularly helpful direction for doctors to fix the problem. Surgeries have very high rates of symptom recurrence, and "full resolution" is the exception rather than the rule.
If you are not on anti-coagulants and your doctor hasn't given you strict instructions to avoid any exercise at all, it is probably worth your time to try the exercises in the program.
For safety's sake, it is crucial that you pay close attention to how your body responds to each and every massage, stretch, and strengthening exercise in the program. Do not rush through exercises. Do not attempt to do the hardest version of any exercise in the first month.
Try to do every exercise with excellent form. If an exercise makes you feel slightly worse, make sure you double check your form and keep the intensity level lower.
If it makes you MUCH WORSE, you need to skip it for now and routine to it in a few weeks to see how things are going.
Even when done perfectly, some exercises may make things worse. Don't panic! Takes notes on which exercises make you worse and skip them for at least two weeks before trying them again.
Pay attention, be patient, and take notes. The more you understand your own triggers, the better you'll be able to gradually restore the muscle balance you need. The more you understand how each exercise works, the better picture you'll form of your own muscle dysfunctions and how to address them.
