The technology behind out AI-powered features - simplified.

Updated over a week ago

Hello Knowledge workers!

Upword is on a mission to transform content into knowledge. Our product utilizes top class artificial intelligence to help automatically extract and capture the key ideas of any piece of content.

But - How does this work?

Uplight:

What is it?
Think of this like a personal highlighter - it selects and underlines the most important sentences and paragraphs in a text in order to help you digest content and quickly understand the gist of a piece of content. Just like a student uses a highlighter to underline important lines, our A.I does the same - minus the human interaction!

How does it do what it does?
The A.I we use was trained on hundreds of thousands of articles in which humans had manually selected important lines of text, and, like a clever student, is able to apply all the knowledge it learned in training to select only the most vital information from new articles and content pieces.

A.I Notes

What is it?
Think of this like a personal note taker - it selects and presents a user with the most important paragraphs in a text, while filtering out unneeded information, in order to help you understand the gist of a piece of content without having to read the entire content piece . Just like a student takes down notes to save and record key information, our A.I does the same - minus the human interaction! This is also great for "Priming" - reading key information before going into deep processing of the text.

How does it do what it does?
The A.I we use was trained on hundreds of thousands of manually summarized articles, and, like a clever student, is able to apply all the knowledge it learned in training to filter out all unnecessary information and only present the most essential paragraphs to a user from new articles and content pieces.
