Message Center: Two-way Texting & Calling

The Message Center is one stop shopping for a business's external customer communication as well as internal employee communication (this is an Enterprise-only feature). You can access the Message Center near the top of the side menu. Within the Message Center you can toggle between SMS (text) and Email.

NOTE: The Message Center can also be accessed by clicking the message icon in the top right of any job, proposal, customer, payment, order and subscription page.

Message Center:

  • Customer side

    • view all 'sent' and 'delivered' messages (Inbox folder)

      • 'sent' means it was sent out of Urable successfully

        • sent status is coming from the Urable platform

      • 'delivered' means it hit the customer's receiving email/text platform

        • delivered status is coming from the receiving platform

    • view all 'queued' messages (Queued folder)

      • houses all queued up automated text or email messages

      • short-term (reminder) and long-term (follow up)

    • view all 'undelivered' messages (Undelivered folder)

      • click on message to see why it could not be delivered

      • within each is a link to a webpage that explains why it was not delivered

      • set up a notification for undelivered messages in notifications section

  • Employee side

    • Internal chat with employees

    • Enterprise only feature

    • Each employee, regardless of role, will have access to this chat

    • Messages can be sent to entire group or individual employees (cannot combine employees to make groups yet)

    • Can also add images to your messages

    • All notifications will be push notifications

    • These notifications can be turned on/off in notification preferences

    • cannot port in an existing phone number that you currently own

    • brought to 'activation' page ($35 for express/pro; included with Enterprise)

    • initial payment prorated and will then match up with the Urable subscription billing cycle

    • review process should take about 3-5 business days

    • Statuses throughout the process will be:

      • Pending review

      • In review

      • Verified

      • *If 'Rejected' or 'Pending' for an excessive period, reach out to us and we will help you sort that out

TWO-WAY TEXTING STATUSES:

*TWO-WAY TEXTING TIDBITS:

  • without two-way texting, when you send an automated text from Urable it is sent from Urable's platform number and the customer cannot respond to it. It is one way communication just from your business to your customer. If you sign up for two-way texting, then when you send a message (whether an automated reminder message or a one-off message) the customer can respond to it. Just like when you text on your phone

  • you can't send out any manual messages from the platform number, you would need to activate a phone number to unlock the ability to text with your customers

  • when you send a message through the message center, your message center number comes up on your customer side, not your personal number

  • your two-way texting number will not replace the business phone number you have listed in your business profile

  • to cancel two-way texting go to Billing in the side menu, click and drag left where it says 'two-way texting' and a delete button will appear for you to click

    • once you cancel you will lose your unique two-way texting number

    • you will revert back to Urable's platform number that everyone else uses

    • if you do business in a crowded market, this may get confusing for customers as they will get automated reminder texts from the same number for all Urable businesses in the area

Voice Calling:

  • once a toll free phone number is selected, voice calling comes available

    • you must click into Voice Settings and enable voice calling for this function to activate

  • you can accept incoming calls and make outgoing calls

  • Voice Settings allow you to further customize how calling functions work in your account

    • create a custom text or recorded voicemail

    • select employees who can make calls

    • select employees who can receive calls

  • you are able to block phone numbers
