Removing an employee from your business

Below is information on how to remove an employee from your business, your calendar and from any line items they are assigned to.

NOTE:

  • Removing an employee from your business is a 3-step process that should be done in the order listed below

  • This will allow you to make a note of the jobs an employee is assigned to (and reassign those jobs) before you remove them from those jobs

  1. Disable the employee

    1. go to Employees/Resources in the side menu

    2. click on the employee's name

    3. click the 3 dots in the upper right

    4. click "Disable"

    5. the employee will lose immediate access to Urable once you do this

  2. Remove employees from jobs they are assigned to

    1. go to your Calendar page

    2. click the "Assigned All:" dropdown

    3. select the disabled employee and click "Apply"

    4. you will now be able to see only the jobs (and events) assigned to this employee

    5. remove them from any job they are assigned to on the calendar

      1. click on the job

      2. 'edit' the "Scheduled" section

      3. under "Assigned" click the red trash can next to the employee's name

      4. you will also have the option of reassigning this job at this time

  3. Remove employees from calendar filters

    1. go to Preferences > Calendar > Internal

    2. scroll down to the "Assignees" section

    3. click the red trash can next to the employee's name to remove that employee

    4. this will remove them from any employee filters you have set on your calendar

**IMPORTANT NOTE REGARDING EMPLOYEE EARNINGS

  • Make sure to export any hourly wages, commission (both services and sales) and tips for the employee you are removing for future payroll needs

    • go to Employees/Resources in the side menu

    • click on the employee you are removing

    • click "Earnings" across the top

    • click on each of the four (4) tabs across the top (see screenshot), "Filter" by date range and "Export" into a CSV file
