Events

From employee time off to closing your Virtual Shop for the day, create specific 'Events' in Urable to meet your business needs.

There are six (6) different types of 'Events' you can create in Urable:

  1. Meeting

    1. things like a team meeting

    2. can invite employees to be included

    3. can repeat this event (for ex: team meeting every Monday morning)

    4. this type of event can affect job thresholds

  2. Consultation

    1. things like meeting with a prospective customer about a job

    2. can set this up for in shop or in field

      1. if in field, you'll be able to use the "On my way" button to send a text to the customer when you are on your way to the location

      2. you can also add in field consultations to a route in your map view

    3. can repeat this event

    4. this type of event can affect job thresholds

  3. Reminder

    1. things like a reminder to follow up with a specific customer

    2. customer block gets pulled in so you can link to the customer's contact information right in the event

    3. can repeat this event

  4. Time Off

    1. things like an employee taking vacation time

    2. important to log employee time off because it can affect your job thresholds in your Virtual Shop

      1. if you have 3 employees/job threshold is 3, and 1 goes on vacation, a "Time Off" event here would automatically change your threshold to 2 during their scheduled vacation period.

    3. can set this for 'all day' or toggle this off to set a time range

    4. any "Time off" events set for an employee will directly feed into the "Time off" tab in the employee profile page

    5. can repeat this event (for ex: 1 of 3 employees has off every Friday)

  5. Closed

    1. things like closing your shop for a holiday

    2. overrides your entire job threshold

    3. completely closes your availability for that day or time period on the virtual shop

    4. can "Assign" employees to this event so they receive notification of it (for ex: employees that don't have access to see the event on your calendar)

    5. can repeat this event

  6. Other

    1. things like a car show that you'd like to attend (an event outside your shop)

    2. used for any other reason you would want to create an event that doesn't fit into any of the above categories

IMPORTANT: Events that can potentially affect job thresholds (decrease your thresholds to account for a drop in your capacity):

  • Meeting Event

  • Consultation Event

  • Time Off Event

  • Closed Event

NOTE:

  • 'All-day' (vs. Custom) events automatically set times based on operating hours

  • Include a color code specific to each event type for easy calendar visibility

  • All events include a "Notes" field to include additional/clarifying information

  • "Private" events (just toggle this on) will only show up on the calendar of the person(s) assigned to them

    • to see 'Private' events if no one is assigned (thus it isn't showing on the calendar)

      • filter the calendar page by event type (for example "Reminder"....you might have to try a few until you find it)

      • in the "Assigned" section click "None"

      • all private events with no one assigned should become visible on your calendar
