NOTE:
A quote is sent once your customer knows what service(s) they want. If you want to sent your customer a series of options to choose from, then you would send a Proposal.
There are two ways to send out a quote to your customers:
You can send a PDF quote by going to the job and clicking "Send PDF" right under the line item(s). See screenshot below.
This type of quote is more informational in nature
It doesn't really require any action from the customer.
You can send a quote through an Approval by going to the job and clicking ADD > Approval.
The customer would sign off on the Approval (which contains all the job information, including price) and anything else that you may have attached including documents, inspection photos, etc.
An Approval is more interactive in nature and does require the customer to engage with it by approving it and signing off on it. See screenshot for what this signature page looks like.
Note: Because of the interactive nature of Approvals, you can:
Include 'add ons' on an Approval for an upsell opportunity. See screenshot below.
Include your schedule so customers can schedule themselves once they approve the Approval. You would do this in Preferences > Calendar > External by clicking on "Approvals" in the "Online Booking" section at the top of the page.
NOTE:
You can send out both a PDF Quote or a quote in an Approval via SMS or Email.
