What can I bring?

(And what you can't bring...)

Updated over a week ago

We want your urbanest to be your home, but as you are sharing the building with other students from around the world, we need to ensure that what you bring is safe and doesn't pose a risk to the building or any other residents within.

You are permitted to bring...

  • Your clothes, shoes, and personal effects such as photos and photo frames.

  • Small electrical items (such as hairdryers, chargers, air fryers, or smoothie machines) with the CE Mark

  • Bedding, towels, and any soft furnishings like cushions or throws.

  • Crockery, utensils, cutlery, or other kitchen items

    • If you are in a shared kitchen, we recommend not bringing/buying too many kitchen items before you arrive and sharing the cost with your flatmates.

You are not allowed to bring...

  • Large electrical items (such as fridge-freezers, washing machines, dryers, ovens or microwave ovens).

  • Pets, or any animal (birds & insects included).

  • Any electrical item without a CE Mark (such as kitchen appliances from outside the EU).

  • Candles, incense sticks, tealights.

  • BBQ's or grills.

  • 'Hoverboards'.

  • E-Bicycles or E-Scooters

  • Furniture such as armchairs, dressers or wardrobes (we provide storage, desks, and desk chairs).

  • Anything else outlined in your Assured Shorthold Tenancy.
