In this article, you'll learn how to navigate the Urbanlogiq platform on your first log-in. We will cover:

  • How to log in to the UrbanLogiq platform

  • Platform sidebar overview

    • Use cases

    • Explore

    • Projects

    • Reports

  • Configure the platform settings

  • How to get help

How to log in to the UrbanLogiq platform

Use the log-in credentials sent from our team for your first log-in—visit home.urbanlogiq.ca for the Canadian clients, and home.urbanlogiq.us for the US clients. Please bookmark the platform URL for easy access in the future.

Alternatively, you can access the log-in portal by visiting the UrbanLogiq website. Click on the Sign In button at the top right corner, and select your region.

Platform sidebar overview

Once logging in to the platform, you will see a sidebar on the left of the screen and a map on the right. Through the sidebar, you can access different functionalities of the platform.

  • Use cases

Use cases are created to meet specific workflow needs. You can access use cases available to your agency by clicking on the first icon in the sidebar. To view all available use cases offered by UrbanLogiq, visit our website and book a demo with our team to learn more.

✨ Tip: Inside each use case, click on 'About the Use Case' to learn about the workflow, objective, and data used in the use case.

  • Explore

Sandbox to play around and visualize your data. The value of Explore is dependent on available datasets ingested into the UrbanLogiq Platform. You have the power to perform join operations between datasets(A including B, A excluding B, or A nearby B) to drive insights and generate area reports to learn more about an area of interest.

  • Projects

Save frequent explore queries as a project, and retrieve them easily from the Project tab on the sidebar.

  • Reports

Access and edit past generated area reports and report templates from the Bulk Export Area Report use case here.

Configure the platform settings

Click on your initials at the bottom of the sidebar and select Settings to configure the platform settings:

  • the time zone used for specific use cases (origin-destination analysis use case and dashboard analysis use cases)

  • units of measurements used across the platform

  • default workspace setting and default map location setting upon each log-in

  • default area report template for Explore area reports

How to get help

  • Use the in-app support. Click on the chat bubble icon at the bottom left corner of the sidebar, and select start a new conversation in the chat box pop-up.

  • Visit our help centre. Note that you can search for article help from the same chat box pop-up.

That's all for now! Happy exploring! 🎉
