This article will review The Drive and User Management in the UrbanLogiq platform. These two features of the UrbanLogiq platform are critical to maintaining proper data governance.

The Drive

Having good data governance is crucial for government agencies. It helps enhance decision-making and improves transparency and accountability while ensuring regulatory compliance and data security.

UrbanLogiq's Drive is the best way to begin your agency's journey to good data governance. It is also the most secure way to share your data with team members and the UrbanLogiq team for ingestion.

If you have access to The Drive, it will be at the top of your UrbanLogiq ribbon on the left side of the screen. You will have two tabs, one with your government agency's name and My Drive, where you can store your personal files.

Inside the Dataset Upload Folder, there will be two folders. One is for Geospatial assets, and the other is for Transportation data.

Inside the Transportation folder are subfolders for all of the corresponding Transportation workspaces. UrbanLogiq provides Active Transportation, Crash Analysis, Road Segment, and Intersection Counts.

Please put the Data in the corresponding account for ease of use and speed of data ingestion. There is no limit to the amount of files and data you can share with the UrbanLogiq team or store on your drive.

This is an excellent time to remember what makes good data governance for Transportation data. Maintaining a set template with consultants is essential so the Data Pipelines that UrbanLogiq has made for the agency run smoothly. Additionally, it is also necessary to maintain accurate geo-coding. We recommend having latitude and longitude on all data files. This ensures precise geolocation in the UrbanLogiq platform.

User Management

User Management can be found inside your UrbanLogiq profile. Click your initials on the bottom left, and Users will appear.

Once clicked, a User list of UrbanLogiq will appear. All of the Users for the UrbanLogiq instance will load, providing their name, email, and the groups they are assigned to. You can also download the user list in an Excel file for ease of use.

This is the first version of User Management, and more updates will be coming soon, like the ability to add and delete users.

To see if a user can see and edit the User list, they should be listed as an "Administrators." in their Groups section. To see if users can access The Drive, they should be listed as "rbac.drive_access" in their Groups section.
