If you have redeemed your McDonald's code on the website but your app still asks you to pay, you are likely logged in with a different email address or Apple ID. Please double-check that you are using the exact same email address you used when creating your account and redeeming your code on the web. If you created a brand new account during redemption, make sure to use those new credentials to log into the app.
