What is the difference between A, B, and C races in the URUNN calendar?

When you add upcoming races to your URUNN calendar, you can classify them as A, B, or C races. This tells URUNN how to build your training load around them:

  • A-Race: This is your primary goal race (e.g., your target Marathon). URUNN will build a full tapering phase before this race to ensure you arrive at the start line in peak condition.

  • B-Race: A secondary race used to test your fitness (e.g., a Half Marathon midway through your block). URUNN will provide a light taper, but you will run it on slightly tired legs.

  • C-Race: A training race (e.g., a weekend Parkrun). URUNN treats this as a regular workout. There is no taper, and it acts as a substitute for a tempo or interval session.
