Participants from the Participant Pool undergo a vetting process conducted by Prolific, which includes a questionnaire where they are asked about their willingness to share their screen, voice, and record themselves. Prolific provides specific attributes related to these capabilities, which Participants can choose to enable or disable based on their personal comfort levels and preferences.

It is important to include information about these requirements in the study description beforehand. By clearly stating the expectations regarding screen sharing, voice sharing, and recording, likelihood of Participants enabling these attributes when participating in the study is increased. Providing this information upfront helps set clear expectations and encourages Participants who are willing to share their screen, voice, or record themselves to join the study.

In cases where a conflict arises between the expected attributes and the participant's actual behavior, such as not enabling the required sharing or recording, it is advisable to collect and report the Participants' Prolific IDs. Sharing these IDs with us allows for further investigation and ensures that Participants who have provided false criteria can be addressed appropriately.

By following these guidelines and effectively communicating the requirements in the study description, you can enhance the number of Participants who are willing to enable screen sharing, voice sharing, and recording. This not only facilitates accurate data collection but also ensures a smooth and reliable research experience for both researchers and Participants.

Should you encounter any conflicts or discrepancies between the expected attributes and participant behavior, reporting the participants' Prolific IDs enables Useberry to take appropriate action and address any instances of false criteria.
