On UTEX Margin, you can choose between two markets: the US stock market offers leveraged trading, both long and short, as well as dividend payouts on long positions. Each market has its own separate balance and positions — they don't overlap.

On UTEX—Margin, leverage reaches up to 100× for stocks and up to 30× for cryptocurrencies — this means every user can make trades worth up to 100 times their deposit. Overnight leverage is up to 4×. The platform effectively provides users with additional funds, with their deposit serving as collateral (margin).

In the UTEX spot section, you can only profit if the price of the purchased asset rises. On UTEX—Margin, however, you can trade against the market using short positions. They allow you to profit from falling prices: you borrow stocks and cryptocurrencies from the platform, expecting to return them at a lower price. There are no additional fees for short positions.

Margin trading allows you to earn significantly higher profits than spot trading, although it is much riskier. Therefore, we recommend using this option only if you have experience in trading, risk management, and market analysis. Additionally, we aim to reduce user risk through an automatic position closure system that triggers in the event of a large loss. This prevents users from losing all their funds or going into negative balance.
