From time to time, you may see a member in the list of notified authorities where the Status says "Authority Exclusion":

Members showing "Authority Exclusion" are NOT NOTIFIED on your request.

This indicates that the member listed has a registration with the notification service in the area, but are not notified on this request due to a business rule. Some examples of the business rules leading to an Authority Exclusion are:

  • Member does not accept notifications for your particular ticket type (In the example above, the EAPUOC registration only accepts notifications if the ticket type is "ALERT Emergency", and is excluded on all other ticket types)

  • Member is not yet fully live in the system and is in testing.

  • Member has an Alternative Locate Agreement with the User placing the the request.
