FAQ

Can staff clock in on any device?

GPS clock in should work with the uTRAC app on Android and iOS as well as via the app.utrac.online/staff website. Staff should ensure they have location permissions enabled to be able to clock in and out of shifts.

How do I ensure I set the exact clock in location?

uTRAC uses Google's geocode API to approximate the coordinates based on the location of your project. To generate more accurate coordinates, be sure to input the full venue address including the post code. You can preview exact coordinates returned by Google by testing via their Geocoding Demo.

Do staff need to do anything other than installing the app for this to work?

Staff will need to ensure that they have enabled location tracking for the uTRAC app or website to be able to clock-in. Additionally, some Android devices have additional permissions to enable precise location tracking and will only allow access to the staff's approximate location as default.
