How to reset a user's login details

If a user can no longer access uTRAC, there are a variety of ways they might reset their username's and passwords.

Updated over a year ago

Forgot Password

If you have forgotten your password, you may trigger a reset via the Forgot Password link below which is also accessible on the uTRAC Login Page.

This will email a link that will allow you to set up a new password. Please check your spam for potential missing emails and note that the reset link will expire in 30 minutes.

If you're email address is not unique or linked to your user account, or if you have forgotten your username, please contact another Administrator to your uTRAC account to have them reset your username and password internally.

Resetting Logins for Another User

Administrators may reset the password for administrative users via the Users section located on the Admin Page.

Step 1: Navigate to Users Management

Select Admin from the menu then select 'Users' from the sidebar

Step 2: Right Click the User You Want to Edit

The right click menu will show a number of options for managing the user including 'Change Password'

Step 3: Change the User's Password

Select the 'Change Password' option and input a temporary password that you will need to share with the user. The user will have the option to set their own password after logging in with their temporary password.

Optional: Set a New Username

All the user's details can be edited by double clicking the element you'd like to change. This includes their username, allowing you to set a new username for the user that might be more memorable.

All usernames are required to be unique and it is recommended to use email addresses.

Resetting Logins for Staff

Staff members can be sent login details via the Staff Page or via Staff Logins section on the Admin page and also have their login details changed exactly how you change administrative user logins using the same steps demonstrated above.
