The short answer
Download MetaTrader 5 from the link in your UZO dashboard, not from a random app store search. MT5 runs as a desktop app (Windows and macOS), a browser-based web terminal, and mobile apps (iOS and Android). Install it, then log in with the server, login number and password shown in your dashboard.
MetaTrader 5 (MT5) is one of the three platforms UZO offers, alongside TradeLocker and MatchTrader. Your platform is set when you buy your account, so if you chose MT5, this is where you get started.
One thing worth keeping front of mind: your UZO account is simulated. You trade on real live prices with simulated capital, and your rewards are real. No live capital is at risk while you trade.
Desktop install (Windows and macOS)
The desktop terminal is the fullest version of MT5, with the complete charting, order, and Expert Advisor toolset. It runs on both Windows and macOS.
Open your UZO dashboard and find your MT5 account.
Use the MetaTrader 5 download link shown there for your operating system.
Run the installer and follow the prompts to finish setup.
Open MT5 and log in with the server, login number and password from your dashboard.
On macOS, MT5 is typically delivered as a packaged build. Always install the version UZO links from your dashboard so the platform connects to the correct UZO server out of the box.
Web terminal: no download needed
If you would rather not install anything, MT5 has a browser-based web terminal. There is nothing to download. Open the web terminal link from your dashboard, enter your server, login number and password, and you are trading in the same browser tab.
The web terminal is handy on a work computer, a borrowed machine, or any device where you do not want to install software. It carries the core charting and order tools, though the desktop app remains the most complete experience.
Mobile app (iOS and Android)
MT5 has full mobile apps for iPhone, iPad and Android. They let you manage open positions, place orders, and watch your equity on the go.
Install the official MetaTrader 5 app from the App Store or Google Play, then add your UZO account inside the app by entering the server name exactly as it appears in your dashboard, followed by your login number and password. Searching for the server by name inside the app is the reliable way to connect on mobile.
Use the build linked from your dashboard
Why this matters
App store search can surface old or generic MT5 builds that do not point at the right server. The link in your UZO dashboard gives you the correct build and the exact connection details, so your first login works the first time.
Whichever device you use, your login is always the same three pieces of information, shown together in your dashboard:
Detail | What it is |
Server | The UZO server your account lives on. Type it exactly as shown. |
Login | Your numeric account login. |
Password | The trading password issued with your account. |
If you are in the US, use a different platform
MetaTrader 5 is not available to traders based in the United States. If you are a US resident, choose TradeLocker or MatchTrader instead. Both connect to the same UZO accounts and the same live pricing, so you lose nothing by switching platforms.
If you bought an MT5 account and then realized you are in the US, contact us at support@uzo.com and we will help you get onto a platform you can use.
Next: logging in
Once MT5 is installed, the last step is signing in. Open the platform, enter your server, login number and password from your dashboard, and your charts and balance load straight away.
If the connection does not take on the first try, double-check that the server name is typed exactly as shown in your dashboard, since a small typo there is the most common reason a login fails.
