✅ Night Before Check-Out Message (7PM Local Time)

Updated over a month ago

Send a friendly reminder message the evening before the guest’s check-out to confirm their departure time and provide clear check-out instructions.

Why This Matters

This message helps ensure a smooth check-out process, prevents last-minute surprises, and reminds guests to complete simple tasks that support our cleaning team and property upkeep.

What You Need

  1. Guest has had a successful stay with no outstanding issues

  2. It's the night before check-out (send around 7PM local time)

  3. Checkout time is clearly listed in the reservation details

Steps

  1. Prepare Message Template
Use the message below and customize fields like name and check-out time:

Hi [Guest First Name],

I hope you’ve had a 5-star stay so far! Just a quick reminder that your check-out time is [Checkout Time] tomorrow.

Late check-out is available for an additional fee to cover cleaner costs—let me know if you’d like that arranged.

May I ask what time you plan to check out tomorrow?

Before leaving, please help us by doing the following:

- 🧽 Put dirty dishes in the dishwasher (to avoid attracting ants)

- 🧺 Place used towels in the hamper or washing machine

- 🔌 Turn off TV, lights, and AC

- 🔒 Lock the backyard door

- 📺 Log out of your Netflix/Prime/etc. accounts and return remotes to their original spot

- 🗑️ Sort garbage, recycling, and organics into the proper bins (refer to the House Manual for bin locations)
