House Rules for Single-Family Homes

This SOP outlines all house rules for guests staying in single-family homes. The goal is to maintain cleanliness, safety, and respect for neighbors and property. Guests are expected to follow these rules throughout their stay.


Why This Matters

These house rules ensure a high-quality experience for all guests while preventing disturbances to neighbors and damage to the property. Violations can result in fines, eviction without refund, and involvement of private security or authorities. Following these rules helps us continue providing a comfortable, safe, and welcoming space for future guests.


What You Need

  • Confirmed reservation

  • All guests declared prior to check-in

  • Agreement to abide by all rules listed in the booking confirmation

  • Understanding that violation of any rule may result in additional charges


Steps (House Rules)

  1. Quiet Hours

    • From 9 PM to 10 AM daily

    • No loud music, outdoor noise, or disruptive behavior.

  2. Shoes

    • No outdoor shoes allowed inside the house.

  3. Smoking

    • Strictly no smoking indoors. Only permitted in designated outdoor areas (e.g., backyard).

    • Fine: $500 for violations. Dispose of cigarette butts properly and off-property.

  4. Pets

    • No pets allowed.

    • Fine: $500 for evidence of pets inside the property.

  5. Parties & Social Gatherings

    • No parties, events, or large gatherings (e.g., birthdays, bachelor/bachelorette parties).

    • Fine: $500 for deceptive use or unplugging the noise/smoke sensor.

    • Guests violating this rule will be asked to leave immediately without refund.

  6. Check-In / Check-Out

    • Check-in: As scheduled

    • Check-out: By 10 AM unless otherwise agreed 24+ hours in advance.

    • Late check-out fee: $50/hour

  7. Unregistered Guests

    • All guests must be declared in advance.

    • Fine: $100/night per undeclared guest

  8. Property Care

    • Guests are liable for any lost, stolen, or damaged items.

    • Additional cleaning fees apply for excessive messes.

  9. Security & Energy Efficiency

    • Lock all windows and doors when leaving.

    • Turn off all lights when not in use.

  10. Maintenance

  • Report all maintenance issues immediately to your host.

  1. Garbage & Waste

  • All trash must be taken out to outdoor bins before check-out.

  • Follow city regulations for sorting recycling, garbage, and organics.

  • Fine: $50 for incorrect disposal.

  1. Furniture

  • Do not move or rearrange furniture unless instructed.

  1. Electronics

  • Do not unplug or tamper with TVs, Roku sticks, lamps, routers, or any provided electronics.

  1. Reservation Extensions

  • Must be requested at least 48 hours before check-out to avoid penalty.

  • 24–48 hrs notice: 50% of cleaning fee applies

  • Less than 24 hrs notice: full cleaning fee applies

  • Extensions are confirmed only after payment is made
