How to Add Co-Hosts on AirBnB

Updated over a month ago

This outlines how to add a co-host to your Airbnb listing so they can help manage bookings, messaging, cleaning coordination, and guest communication.

Why This Matters

Adding a co-host allows you to delegate key responsibilities, improve response times, manage multiple listings more efficiently, and ensure seamless guest experiences—especially when you're unavailable or scaling your hosting operations.

What You Need

  • You must be the primary host of the listing.

  • The person you’re inviting must have an Airbnb account.

  • You need access to your Airbnb account on a desktop or mobile browser.

Steps

  1. Log in to Airbnb Host Dashboard
Go to https://www.airbnb.ca/hosting and sign in.

  2. Access Your Listings
From the host dashboard, navigate to the Listings tab and select the listing you'd like to add a co-host to.

  3. Scroll to the Bottom
On the listing page, scroll all the way down until you see the “Co-hosts” section.

  4. Click “Co-hosts”
Click on the Co-hosts box to open the co-host management menu.

  5. Invite a Co-host
Click “Invite a co-host” and follow the on-screen prompts. You’ll need to:

    • Enter their Airbnb email address

    • Specify their permissions

    • Optionally include a message

  6. Wait for Acceptance
The invited co-host will receive a notification to accept the invitation. Once accepted, they’ll have access to the tools and features you’ve granted them.
