Short Summary of the SOP

This SOP explains how to connect your Hostaway account with VRBO so that listings, bookings, and calendars are synced. This integration enables you to manage VRBO reservations seamlessly from within Hostaway.


Why This Matters

Integrating VRBO with Hostaway centralizes your property management across platforms, allowing you to automate messages, manage calendars, pricing, and guest communication all from one dashboard. This saves time and minimizes the risk of double bookings.


What You Need

  • A live Hostaway account

  • A VRBO account

  • A Stripe account (connected to Hostaway)

  • Availability for live coordination during Steps 1–2

  • Access to email and phone to complete the VRBO onboarding process


Steps

1. Begin the Integration

  • Follow the steps outlined in the official Hostaway VRBO FAQ to start the connection process.

  • NOTE: For Steps 1 & 2 of the FAQ, our team will assist you. Please be on standby to help connect your Stripe account to Hostaway during this stage.

2. Wait for VRBO's Onboarding Email

  • You will receive a generic onboarding email from VRBO with a link to continue the integration:
    👉 https://www.vrbo.com/p/onboard

  • If the link doesn’t work, call the phone number provided in the email and request that the onboarding process be completed manually over the phone.

3. Sign the Agreement

  • VRBO will send you a document via DocuSign.

  • Once received, sign the document promptly.

  • After signing, the listing will be activated.

  • Note: Full synchronization may take a few days to complete.
