Overview
To ensure seamless processing and reporting, Valpay utilizes a structured hierarchy. This structure allows our Partners (Brand Administrators) to manage multiple regional brands and various sub-merchant business models under a single umbrella.
The Hierarchy Levels
Valpay (The Payfac): The top-level entity overseeing all processing and compliance.
Brand Administrator (The Partner): Our partners who manage the relationship with the end merchants.
The Brand (Merchant Account): A specific processing "bucket" (often regional). In our portal, you select the Brand before starting a new application.
Example: RazPay_US and RazPay_UK.
Account Holder (The Legal Entity): The sub-merchant’s legal registered name. This is who signs the application.
Example: Seven Brew LLC.
The Store (The DBA/Location): The specific "trading as" location or department under the legal entity.
Hierarchy Examples in Practice
Depending on how your sub-merchants operate, their setup will look like one of the two examples below:
Example A: Multi-Location (Same DBA)
This is common for franchises or businesses with multiple branches.
Brand: RazPay_US
Account Holder (Legal Entity): Seven Brew LLC
Stores:
Store 1: Seven Brew - Holmstead
Store 2: Seven Brew - Tampa
Example B: Multi-Revenue Center (Different DBAs)
This is common for hospitality groups that operate different types of businesses under one legal corporate name.
Brand: RazPay_UK
Account Holder (Legal Entity): Studio Hospitality Co.
Stores:
Store 1: Eat Good (Restaurant)
Store 2: Gifts for All (Gift Shop)
Store 3: Studio Hotel (Front Desk)
Flexible Account Structures
The examples above (Multi-Location and Multi-Revenue Center) are the most common configurations, but our platform is designed to be flexible.
Depending on your sub-merchant's legal structure, tax requirements, or operational needs, we can customize how Account Holders and Stores are mapped under your Brand.
