1. Inspect the Terminal
Confirm the shipping box is sealed and tamper-evident
Verify the serial number (S/N) on the terminal matches the one listed in Adyen Customer Area β In-Person Payments β Orders and Returns
2. Connect Power & Charge the Terminal
To connect power to the P630:
Turn the terminal over and locate the rear cover
Using a screwdriver, remove the screw securing the rear cover
Carefully remove the rear cover to expose the rear port
Locate the dongle cable included in the box
Connect the dongle cable firmly into the rear port
Place the rear cover back over the connection to secure the cable
Reinsert and tighten the screw
On the wider end of the dongle cable:
Locate the round power port
Insert the power adapter plug into this port
Connect the other end of the power adapter to a power outlet
Once connected:
Press and hold the power button to turn the terminal on
Allow the terminal to charge for at least 4 hours before proceeding
3. Language & Network Configuration
Select your preferred language on the Welcome screen
Connect to your network:
Wi-Fi: Enable WLAN, select or add an SSID, enter the password, and confirm
A network icon will indicate a successful connection
4. Assign & Confirm Store
On the Confirm Store screen:
Press the checkmark to accept the pre-assigned store
Or select the pencil icon to choose a different store
If no store appears, wait up to 3 hours for synchronization and retry
5. Board the Terminal
From the home screen, select Board the terminal
Confirm or select the store to begin downloading configuration files
The terminal may reboot multiple times during setup
Boarding can take up to 30 minutes to complete
Once finished, the terminal is ready for testing and live use.
