Step 1: Installation - Connect Value Viewpoint Selected Organization to Hubspot
You can select the organization you want to link with your Hubspot account if prompted.
In the next window, sign in to your Hubspot Account:
Connect the ValueViewpoint app to Hubspot:
You will be redirected back to valuepoint.ai and see ‘Successfully Installed’ there.
Step 2: Installation - connecting the app on the HubSpot Side and adding the ValueViewpoint Card to Deals View
Step 2.1: On hubspot.com, go to Connected Apps and click on your company, Value Viewpoint, Inc., in our case:
Step 2.1: Click on Ready to connect at the bottom of the window
Step 2.2: Or click on Connected Apps at the upper panel - Marketplace icon and select your company name (Value Viewpoint in our example):
Step 2.3: Click on the Apps cards
Step 2.4: Click Manage Locations. In the pop-up window, check the Default View—Outreach box and click the Save button at the bottom.
Step 3: Business Case Creation - Go to your Deals in the Hubspot account and select any deal for which you want to create a Business Case and Value-Centric Outreach. Then, open it.
Step 3.1: Find your Company Card (ValueViewpoint in our example) at the bottom of the right panel and drag it to the top of the right sidebar, as illustrated below. Do not generate outreach yet since we must create the Email Template first.
Step 3.2: Create an Outreach Email Template
Go to CRM (on the left side bar ) -> and click on Templates.
On the upper panel, press New Template -> and From Scratch create a new template:
The Email Template Editor will open.
Name your template ‘Outreach Template’ or choose a custom name for this specific email Template.
Click on Personalize: now we need to install tokens in the Subject area of the Email and for the Body of the email to api it from the Value Viewpoint tool.
Now, we create a starting point in the HubSpot CRM form from which we need to generate outreach emails. We recommend Deals. In the Pop-up window, under the Type field, select Deal from a drop-down menu. In the field Search deal tokens, start typing “Outreach,” and choose Subject: Outreach Email Subject.
Next, insert the personalization token into the email body by selecting Outreach Email Text:
Ensure the email template looks like the one in the picture below. If not, click on personalization, ensure you always have Type “Deal” selected, and add Outreach Email Subject and Outreach Email Text tokens to the relevant fields Subject and Body of the Email. Use the personalize button several times until you get the needed result:
Save the template
Step 4: Generate a Business case and value-centric Email describing the business benefits of your solution
Go to a deal page
Make sure that there is a company associated with the deal
Press the ‘Generate Outreach’ button on the ValueViewpoint card
Select the template to use for outreach
Modify data inputs as needed
Select benefits as required, press ‘Complete’
Step 5: Create Outreach Email
Go to a deal page
Make sure that outreach is created. If not, generate outreach as explained above.
Press the Email button to open the Email Editor
Press Templates:
Select Outreach Template (see instructions above on how to create the template):
Edit the email as needed. Make sure that you replaced placeholders (red text in brackets) with actual text.
