How to Install Value Viewpoint HubSpot App
To add full customer prospect research and ROI outreach to your HubSpot Deals, integrate Value Viewpoint (VVP) by following these steps:
Step 1: Connect Value Viewpoint to your HubSpot Account
You can install Value Viewpoint Application in two different ways:
either from HubSpot App Marketplace (see Step 1a below)
or from Value Viewpoint application (see Step 1b below)
Step 1a: Install Value Viewpoint App from HubSpot App Marketplace
1a.1. In HubSpot, go to HubSpot Marketplace.
1a.2. Click on Apps
1a.3. In the HubSpot App Marketplace search for Value Viewpoint. Click on Value Viewpoint.
1a.4. Click Install app on Value Viewpoint app page.
1a.5. Click the checkbox saying that you agree with the terms of service and press Connect app.
1a.6. Click on Sign In to sign in to Value Viewpoint.
1a.7. The new browser window will open with the Value Viewpoint login page. Sign in to your Value Viewpoint account there.
1a.8. If you have multiple organizations associated with your account, select one which you would like to connect to HubSpot.
1a.9. When setup finishes Value Viewpoint window should close and you should see the following window. Press Customize app cards and continue to step 2.3.
Step 1b: Connect to HubSpot from Value Viewpoint Application
Important: Skip this step if you already finished Step 1a.
1b.1. In Value Viewpoint, click the Avatar icon in the top-right corner, then select Integrations from the dropdown menu.
1b.2. On the Integrations page, locate the HubSpot entry and select the Connect button next to it.
1b.3. Select Sign in to your HubSpot account.
1b.4. Once you sign in to your HubSpot account, you should see the following page, which lists Value Viewpoint permissions.
1b.5. Select Connect app.
1b.6. You will be redirected back to the Value Viewpoint App and will see “Successfully Installed” there.
1b.7. Select Go to Value Viewpoint. This will bring you back to the Projects view.
Step 2: Configure your HubSpot Deal Page to Display ValueViewpoint Card
2.1. In HubSpot, select Marketplace -> Connected Apps
2.2. Select the My Apps tab, select the Value Viewpoint app there.
2.3. Select App Cards and then select Manage Locations.
2.4. In the popup window, check the Default view - Value-Centric Outreach checkbox and click the Save button at the bottom.
2.5. Open any deal record, and on the right side of the screen, you should see the Value-Centric Outreach card.
IMPORTANT: At first, HubSpot put the Value-Centric Outreach card at the very bottom of the list of cards for you. You will need to scroll to the bottom of the list and drag the Value-Centric Outreach card to a position you would like it to be.
Step 3: Create Outreach Email Template
3.1. Go to CRM (on the left side bar) and click on Templates.
3.2. On the upper panel, press New Template -> From Scratch to create a new template.
3.3. The Email Template Editor will open.
3.4. Name your template ‘Outreach Template’ or choose a custom name for this specific email template.
3.5. To personalize the email subject, click on the Subject field, then click on Personalize.
3.6. In the Insert personalization token dialog, select Deal from a dropdown menu.
3.7. Start typing “outreach” in the Search deal tokens field, and then choose Outreach Email Subject.
3.8. To personalize a greeting text, type “Dear “ in the first line of the email Text (or Hi, Hello etc. depending on a greeting you’d like to have in your outreach email). Then click on Personalize.
3.9. Start typing “name” in the Search contact tokens field, and then choose First Name.
3.10. Enter “,<enter>”. Click on Personalize to customize the email text itself.
3.11. In the Insert personalization token dialog select Deal from a dropdown menu.
3.12. Start typing “outreach” in the Search deal tokens field, and then choose Outreach Email Text.
3.13. Ensure the email template looks like the one in the picture below. If not, repeat steps 5 - 12 above. When doing that make sure that when inserting a personalization token, you have Type set to Deal. Also make sure that Outreach Email Subject and Outreach Email Text end up in email subject and email text fields.
3.12. Save the template
How to Disconnect Value Viewpoint App from HubSpot Account
In case you need to disconnect the Value Viewpoint app from HubSpot, you will need to do it from the app settings in HubSpot:
Go to Marketplace -> Connected Apps.
Select My Apps, locate the Value Viewpoint app.
Select Actions -> Uninstall.
How to Use the Value Viewpoint HubSpot App
Create a Business Case from a Template
Go to any Deal in your HubSpot account
Make sure there is a company associated with the deal
3. In the Value-Centric Outreach card, select Create from template.
4. Select a template to use for outreach. You can use either one of your company templates or one of the best-practice templates.
5. Modify data inputs as needed.
6. Select benefits as required.
7. Press ‘Complete’.
8. Once the business case generation is finished, you should see the following message:
9. Press OK to return to the deal. The Value-Centric Outreach card should now have Personalized outreach and Company profile links.
Create a Business Case From Scratch
Go to any Deal in your HubSpot account
Make sure there is a company associated with the deal
In the Value-Centric Outreach car,d select More -> Create from scratch.
4. Enter your product or service description. Press Next.
5. Enter or select your customer processes. Press Next.
6. Enter or select your customer processes' pain points. Press Generate.
7. Once the business case generation is finished, you should see the following message:
8. Press OK to return to the deal. The Value-Centric Outreach card should now have Personalized outreach and Company profile links.
Connect a Deal to an Existing Business Case
Go to any Deal in your HubSpot account.
In the Value-Centric Outreach car,d select More -> Connect existing business case.
3. Locate the desired Value Viewpoint business case from the list. Press Select.
4. Once the business case generation is finished, you should see the following message:
5. Press OK to return to the deal. The Value-Centric Outreach card should now have Personalized outreach and Company profile links.
Navigate to Value Viewpoint Business Case
In the Value-Centric Outreach card, press the Personalized outreach link to navigate to the personalized outreach in the Value Viewpoint App
2. In the Value-Centric Outreach card, press the Company profile link to navigate to the prospect profile in the Value Viewpoint App
Create an Outreach Email
You can go to a Deal in your HubSpot account.
Make sure that outreach is created. If not, create a new business case or connect to an existing one as explained above.
Press the Email button to open the Email Editor.
4. Select Templates
5. Locate the Outreach Template and press the Select button.
6. Edit the email as needed. Please ensure that you have replaced the placeholders (red text in brackets) with actual text.
