The Tests page is your one-stop shop for understanding the list of security items to work on. You can use this page to quickly assess your company's security posture and make progress toward becoming compliant.

Test List

  • By default, Vanta sorts the most urgent tests to work on to the top.

  • You can search by test name or filter by status or standard that the test applies on each list. You can also assign tests to different members of your organization. Searching for tests linked to specific asset names is not possible.

  • You can also filter by category: use the sidebar on the left to pick between subject areas. Now, your Head of Engineering can focus on one list of action items, while your Head of People can focus on another.

Test Details

  • Click on an individual test to view more detailed test history and guidance on addressing it.

    • Results: All items requiring your attention will be displayed here. From the results tab, you can create a task within an integrated task tracker or select How to remediate for remediation instructions

    • Source Data: Test data and identification

    • History: This tab will detail the remediations that have taken place for this specific issue.

    • Tasks: Tasks created in integrated task trackers

    • Controls: The controls this test is providing evidence for

    • Audits: Any upcoming audits this test will be a part of, and the status if the test as it related to the audit

    • Notes: A section for you to provide updates and additional context

Test SLAs

  • From the Tests page select Edit SLAs

  • From here, you can set SLA deadlines for all of the categories related to tests.

  • If you are unsure of what timelines to set for an SLA, use Vanta's recommendation.
