The Policies page has features and corresponding tests for managing policies. You will enforce processes around your company's security policies that are both good practices and required for audits. Vanta provides policy templates that you can edit to fit your organization's needs.
The Policies Page
From the left-hand navigation panel, select Compliance, then Policies
If you are new to Vanta, the Policies page will show you a list of Templates you can leverage to being the process of drafting policies
If your team has been using Vanta, you will see a list of all of the policies being used within your organization
From the top-right corner, you can +Add custom policies
Policy SLAs
Select Edit SLAs
The SLA categories will be shown, as well as the deadline you are going to adhere to
These can be edited to fit your needs, and Vanta also provides a recommendation.
Policy Status
Latest Policy Status Column: The status of the most recent policy version
Not Started: No work has begun on drafting this policy
Draft: The most recent policy version has been started but has not been sent for approval.
Pending approval: The most recent policy version has been sent for approval.
Approved: The most recent policy version has been approved, and the policy approval test is now being passed. Your Overall policy status is OK
Renew soon: The most recent policy version has been approved, and the policy approval test is now passing. However, it will expire within 6 weeks.
Expired: The most recent policy version has expired, causing the Overall Policy Status to move to Needs remediation.
Overall policy status Column: Aligns with the status of the policy approval test
OK: A version of this policy has been approved and is unexpired.
Needs remediation: This policy has yet to be approved and is unexpired.
