If an employee cannot encrypt their device with the default encryption option on their device, such as BitLocker (for Windows) or FileVault (for Mac), it will need to be manually documented.
Procedure
Go to test Employee computer hard disk encryption
Go to the computer/user who needs remediation
Click Deactivate monitoring
Fill out the Deactivate monitoring for item form and include manual evidence (such as a screenshot)
Note: The user will still show an X on the computers page
