This feature is available for all plans.

In this article, you will learn where to find our silence remover tool and all you need to know about it.

As the name implies, the tool will cut out the parts from your video/audio that doesn't contain sound. The sound coming from someone talking or background noise will still be considered sound, and that won't be removed. Only the parts where there is absolutely no sound will be removed. These parts will be cut out of the media file, and the remaining parts will be moved next to each other, eliminating any empty space between the remaining clips.

  1. Head over to VEED.

  2. Create an account or Log in.

  3. Click on Create Project.

  4. Drag and drop the video to the Upload a file part of the window or click on it and you can select the file you want to upload.

  5. Wait for the video/audio to upload.

  6. Select the video/audio clip on the timeline or the canvas. This will bring up the Edit tab for the file.

  7. Scroll down in this tab and click on the Remove Silences button.

  8. There will be a short loading, and then the button will have a blue checkmark, indicating that the process is done.

If you already have a blue checkmark on the button after you just uploaded your file, that means there is no silence to be removed from the file.
