  • This is where all widgets are created and arranged.

2. Add a New Widget

  • Click the blue “+” (Add Widget) button in the top-right corner

  • This opens the widget selection menu.

3. Select “Text Widget”

  • Choose Text Widget from the list of widget types

  • This widget allows you to input free-form text content (no data source required).

4. Enter Your Text Content (Core Step)

  • Type your content into the “Text” field

According to the official guide, this is the primary input step where you define what will be displayed

Examples of what to include:

  • “Target conversion rate: 25%”

  • “Peak hours: 12:00–15:00”

  • “Queue threshold: Open new till at 5+ customers”

  • Best Practice:

  • Keep text short, clear, and actionable

  • Use line breaks or bullet-style formatting (if supported) for readability

5. Adjust Text Formatting (Optional)

You can customise:

  • Text size

  • Text alignment (left, centre, right)

This step is optional but helps improve readability and visual hierarchy

  • Best Practice:

  • Use larger text for key messages

  • Centre-align for KPI highlights

  • Left-align for instructions

6. Proceed to Widget Layout

  • Click Next

  • This takes you to the layout and display settings.

7. Add Title & Description

  • Title (Required): Label the purpose of the text

  • Description (Optional): Add supporting detail

Examples:

  • Title: “Store Targets”

  • Title: “Operational Guidelines”

  • Title: “Today’s Focus”

  • Avoid generic titles like “Text Widget”

8. Customise Appearance (Optional)

You can adjust:

  • Widget size (grid layout)

  • Background colour

  • This step helps integrate the widget visually into your dashboard

9. Save the Widget

  • Click Save
