2. Add a New Widget

  • Click the blue “+” (Add Widget) button in the top-right corner

  • This opens the widget selection panel.

3. Select “Media Widget”

  • Choose Media Widget from the available widget types

  • This widget enables you to upload or display:

  • Images (e.g. branding, instructions)

4. Upload or Select Media Content (Core Step)

  • Upload your media file or select an existing one

  • Supported formats typically include:

  • Images (e.g. JPG, PNG)

  • Videos (depending on system support)

  • This is the primary content input step

  • Best Practice:

  • Use high-quality visuals

  • Ensure files are optimised (not too large) for fast loading

  • Keep content relevant to the dashboard purpose

5. Adjust Media Display Settings (Optional)

Depending on configuration, you may be able to:

  • Resize or scale the media

  • Adjust alignment or positioning

  • Control how the media fits within the widget

  • Best Practice:

  • Avoid stretching images (maintain aspect ratio)

  • Use landscape formats for dashboard screens

  • Ensure readability from a distance (for control rooms)

6. Proceed to Widget Layout

  • Click Next

  • You will now configure naming and layout.

7. Add Title & Description

  • Title (Required): Clearly define purpose

  • Description (Optional): Add context

Examples:

  • “Store Promotion – Spring Sale”

  • “Queue Instructions”

  • “Dashboard Overview Guide”

  • Keep titles clear and functional, especially for shared dashboards.

8. Customise Appearance (Optional)

You can adjust:

  • Widget size (grid layout)

  • Background colour

  • Best Practice:

  • Use larger widgets for visual content

  • Align with your brand colours

  • Maintain consistency across dashboard
