Brickstream Sensors - Vemcount Firewall Guide
Purpose: This guide outlines the outbound firewall and network access required for Brickstream sensors to communicate correctly with Vemcount services.
Important: All firewall rules should be configured for outbound connections only. DNS resolution for the listed hostnames should also be allowed.
Required network access
Service | Hostname / URL | Port(s) | Purpose |
Device administration / remote connection | brickstream.vemcount.com | 3000 | Remote access and administration of Brickstream sensors |
Data push | data.vemcount.com | 80, 443 | Transmission of sensor data to Vemcount |
Time synchronization | ntp.vemcount.com | 123/UDP | Time sync for stable and accurate operation |

Optional / legacy note: The official Vemcount firewall guideline also lists port 440 for older devices that cannot handle TLS above v1.0, plus additional services such as MQTT, FTP upload, VPN, and other device-specific endpoints. These are normally not required for a standard Brickstream setup unless specifically requested.
