Opening Hours

This guide explains how Opening Hours are used in Vemcount to define the normal operational hours for a company location.

Use Opening Hours when reports and dashboards should reflect the customer's actual business hours instead of including the full day.

Opening Hours help ensure that visitor data is analysed within the correct business context. They are especially useful for excluding non-customer activity such as staff movement, cleaning, deliveries, or security activity outside normal opening hours.

How to configure Opening Hours

  1. Open the backend and go to Companies.

  2. Select the relevant company.

  3. Open Opening Hours.

  4. Select the relevant location or opening-hour setup, if applicable.

  5. Enter the opening and closing times for the relevant weekdays.

  6. Save the configuration when the hours have been verified.

  7. Check a report or dashboard widget to confirm that the expected time period is used.

Typical examples

  • Retail store: 10:00–18:00

  • Shopping centre: 09:00–20:00

  • 24/7 location: 00:00–00:00, where full-day reporting is required

Important: Incorrect opening hours can affect reports, dashboard widgets, comparisons, and KPI interpretation. Always verify special opening hours, seasonal changes, and holidays with the customer before saving.
