Why a profile picture matters
A professional, recognizable photo builds trust. The Oblist asks for a picture of the founder(s) (the people behind the brand), not a corporate logo—buyers connect more easily when they see who they are buying from. Using the same photo as on Instagram or your site keeps your presence consistent.
Where to go in the dashboard
Sign in to the current vendor dashboard (production is typically https://pro.oblist.com—sign in via Login if you are not already connected).
Open the account menu in the top-right (your avatar and brand name).
Choose Account. You are taken to account settings; the page is titled Brand Information (sidebar label: Brand Info).
Direct link (when you are already logged in):

Note: The legacy URL trade.oblist.com is the old platform. Use pro.oblist.com for the dashboard described here
What you will see on the page
Brand Name and Brand Handle are shown for reference and are not editable on this screen.
Brand Description is required (label includes
*). You need it filled in to use Save at the bottom of the form.Your Profile Picture (1:1 square ratio) is the block where you upload the image. Under the title, the product explains: Upload a photo of the founder(s) — not a logo. Buyers want to see the person(s) behind the brand.
Steps to upload or change your picture
1. Prepare an image file
Use a normal image file. The file picker accepts common image types (for example JPEG or PNG—the field uses standard browser image support, not “JPG only”).
Pick a photo with enough resolution so faces stay sharp after cropping; there is no separate “minimum 200×200” rule in the interface—the app opens a square crop tool instead.
2. Start the upload
If you do not have a photo yet: use the file control under “Your Profile Picture” and select your image.
If you already have a photo: use Change Photo to pick a new file.
3. Crop to a square (required step)
After you choose a file, a dialog titled Crop Image opens.
Adjust position and zoom so your face (or your team) is framed well.
The crop is always square (1:1)—you are not relying on automatic trimming of a random rectangle; you confirm the framing yourself.
Click Save in the dialog to confirm the crop.
4. What happens after you crop
The cropped image is uploaded and saved to your profile automatically—you do not need to press the main page Save button only for the picture.
To remove the current picture, use the ✕ control on the preview, then confirm if prompted.
5. Brand description and the Save button
To update your brand description (or ensure everything on the form is stored together), fill Brand Description and click Save at the bottom.
If required text is missing, the app will ask you to complete the required fields before saving.
