Customer Initiated Transactions (Vendor or QR Codes)

A customer can initiate a payment request using a vendor code or a QR code.

Vendor code

A vendor code is a four-digit number assigned to each vendor that can be used to initiate transactions by the end users/customers.

Here are the steps to initiate a payment transaction using the vendor code:

-Go to the web page www.myvendy.com/whatsapp or request for the Business Terminal Link of the business you want to pay.

-Click on Continue on the app.

-Follow the prompt message.

-Select the service you would like to pay for or the amount you would like to pay.

-Download the invoice and click on show options.

-Select where you would like to pay from and authorize the transaction.

-A receipt will be generated at the end of the transaction.

QR Code

A QR Code is a square-shaped code, resembling a digital puzzle, used to offer a seamless and efficient way to conduct payment transactions.

Customers can initiate a payment transaction on Vendy by scanning a designated QR code assigned to a business. Every business has a designated QR code, which can be used to initiate payment by the customer.

Here are the steps to initiate a payment transaction using the QR code.

-Request for the QR code from a Vendy Vendor

-Point your smartphone's camera at the QR code, ensuring that it's in focus and well-lit. -The scanner app will automatically detect the QR code and display its content on your screen.

-Once the QR code is scanned, you will be directed to the business terminal on WhatsApp. where you will get to interact with Vendy.

-An invoice will be generated which shows the recipient's name or business name, payment amount, and any additional notes.

-Kindly review and download the invoice.

-Click on show options and select the payment method you would love to complete the transaction with.

-Authorize the transaction to complete payment.

-A receipt will be generated at the end of the transaction.
