When you first start Agentic Chat, Venice asks you to opt in to image generation. That consent lets the agent create, edit, and enhance images on your behalf during a conversation.
This opt-in is separate from picking an agent model. A model that shows no green coin icon — such as Kimi — is included for conversation on your plan, but any image generation, editing, or enhancement the agent performs still consumes Venice Credits. In other words, an included agent model does not mean its image tool calls are free.
How to turn off image generation in Agentic Chat
If you'd rather not spend credits on agent-generated images, you can disable the feature:
Sign in at venice.ai.
Open Settings (chat history drawer at the top left → Settings, or Settings in the left sidebar).
Select the Usage tab.
Turn off image generation for agentic chat.
Once disabled, the agent will no longer create or edit images, so those actions won't draw from your credit balance. You can re-enable it at any time from the same Usage tab.
