If you see a "limit reached" or "try again later" message even though you feel you haven't used Venice much, a few common causes are usually behind it. It's rarely a bug — and it's often not tied to how much you personally sent.
Common reasons
A shared network. If you're on a VPN, proxy, corporate network, or shared/public IP, other people's traffic can count toward the limit you're seeing.
A model-specific limit. Some models have their own limits separate from your overall plan. Hitting one model's cap doesn't mean you've hit a global one.
Rolling resets. Many limits reset on a rolling basis (for example, per minute or per day from each request) rather than all at once at midnight.
Included vs. pay-per-use. Actions that consume Venice Credits (such as coin-icon models or agent image tools) draw from a different balance than your included plan limits.
What to try
Turn off your VPN or proxy, or switch to a different network (such as mobile data), and try again.
Try a different model to confirm your account still works.
Wait a few minutes, then retry — per-minute limits clear quickly.
Check Settings for your current limits and credit balance.
If it keeps happening across networks and models, contact support with the model you were using, the time it happened, and a screenshot of the error so we can take a closer look.
