Do failed video generations affect completed videos?
No. A failed video generation does not corrupt, overwrite, or change videos that already completed successfully.
Each generation is stored independently. If a later Seedance, reference-to-video (R2V), or other video run fails, errors, or returns unusable output, your earlier finished videos stay intact.
If a completed video looks wrong
That is a separate issue with that specific run, not damage caused by a later failure. Check Studio → Library for the completed file. For support review, send the Task ID for that video: open Settings → Usage, find the generation, then click the three dots next to it to copy the Task ID.
If the model keeps making the same mistake or reuses an old prompt
When outputs keep repeating an earlier error, or a new run seems to reference a previous prompt or generation from the same chat, start a fresh chat. In longer threads, prior context or a prior job in the same chat can get picked up again.
Start a new chat for the next render.
Remove any leftover reference attachments you do not want reused.
Confirm the text in the composer is exactly what you want, then generate again.
This fresh-chat reset has resolved the issue for other users. Failed generations should be automatically refunded when applicable; you can confirm refund status under Settings → Usage.
