Reorder Quantity

The Reorder Quantity is the threshold quantity for a specific product in your inventory. When the stock level reaches this point, it signals that it's time to reorder to avoid running out. By setting a reorder quantity, you can stay ahead of low inventory levels, ensuring that you make timely decisions to maintain optimal stock levels. This proactive approach helps you keep your inventory well-managed and prevents any disruptions in supply.

Replenish Quantity

The Replenish Quantity is the amount of a product that needs to be ordered when its Reorder quantity is reached in a specific stock location. This quantity helps to create a Replenish Order, either manually or automatically, to maintain optimal stock levels.

Example: Reorder quantity and Replenish Order

Let's say you have 30 headphones in your inventory.

  • Reorder quantity for Headphones: 5

  • Replenish Quantity for Headphones: 50

If 25 headphones are shipped out, leaving you with 5, indicating your inventory has went low, resulting in triggering the Reorder quantity. This will create a Replenish Order to stock 50 more headphones in your inventory.

With Ventory, this process is easily automated.
