OTP login authentication

Follow the below step-by-step process to enable OTP authentication on your account :

Step 1 : On your Ventory account. Go to Settings > Company > Advanced Settings > Authentication

​

Step 2 : Within the “Authentication Type” dropdown menu - you can enable the authentication by selecting “Code” or disable the authentication by selecting “None”.

Step 3: Enter the desired duration for the code that will besent to your email to expire within the "Expiry (in hours)" box.

Note: This expiration period determines how long you can access the platform without needing to input a code. For instance, if you set the expiry hours to 1, after using the code to log in, you won't require a new code for the following hour. However, once this hour lapses, you'll need to repeat the process of triggering a code to log back into your account.

Step 4: Click on "Save" on the bottom right of your screen to apply your settings and activate your updates in real-time.

Follow the below step-by-step process to login into your account with OTP authentication:

​

Step 1 : Go to Ventory > Enter your Email and Password, then select Sign In. This action will prompt an authorization code to your email address.

​

Note : Please be advised that the code sent to your email will remain valid for a duration of 15 minutes. Should this time elapse, you will need to request a new code.

​

Step 2 : Check your email for the authorization code > enter the code on the Login window > Sign In

​

Step 3 : Completing this action will grant you access to your account successfully. You can access your account again within the next hour without requiring a code, or according to the duration specified in your account settings.
