An overview of Venture360 for investors who are new to the platform.

Welcome to the Venture360 platform! This guide provides a step-by-step overview to help you navigate the platform, onboard investors, and manage SPVs effectively. Use this as a reference alongside help articles for more in-depth instructions.

Please watch the video above and review the steps below to guide you through your first visit to the Venture360 portal.


1. Dashboard Overview

  • The dashboard is your central hub, showing:

    • Featured deals available for LPs.

    • A summary of your portfolio, including cost basis, current value, and allocation metrics.

  • Access specific SPVs, funds, or the entire portfolio directly from the dashboard.


2. Portfolio Management

  • The Portfolio tab displays:

    • A detailed summary of your investments.

    • Each portfolio company and investment class you're involved in.

  • Dive deeper into individual funds, SPVs, or portfolio companies from this section.


3. Adding Investors

  • Navigate to the Investors tab to add new investors:

    • Enter their first name, last name, and email.

    • For those using entities like trusts or LLCs, create an Associated Entity and link it to the investor.

  • Use Subgroups to grant access to external parties, such as financial managers.


4. Creating and Managing SPVs

  • Go to the SPVs tab and click Create New SPV:

    • Input SPV details, including name, fees, and legal documents.

    • Add investors and assign commitments.

    • Manage carried interest and fees as needed.


5. Deal Pipeline

  • Build and feature deals under Companies > Deal Pipeline:

    • Create a company profile if it doesn’t already exist.

    • Input deal details and mark it as Featured to display on the dashboard for LPs.

    • Collect investor commitments for deals, which can later be added to SPVs or funds.


6. Sending Subscription Documents

  • Use the Dropbox Sign integration to send documents:

    • Upload templates for subscription documents.

    • Select the investors who need to receive them.

    • Send for e-signatures directly through the platform.


7. Conducting Capital Calls

  • Generate invoices for capital calls from the SPV profile:

    • Include secure wire instructions.

    • Send invoices to investors and track payments.

    • Once received, mark invoices as paid.


8. Finalizing Investments

  • After closing, add investments to the SPV:

    • Link the SPV to the relevant portfolio company.

    • Input investment details like amount and class.

    • Update valuation metrics for accurate reporting.


9. Configuring Settings

  • Navigate to Management > Settings to customize:

    • Membership agreements.

    • Email and reminder preferences.

    • General configurations to match your processes.
