1. Login to your employee account.
2. From your dashboard, scroll down to display the completed verifications and locate the verification with inaccurate information you wish to dispute.
a. Click the ellipsis next to the verification and click ‘Submit Data Dispute’.
i. If your Former Employer is partnered with Verifent, proceed to Step 3.
ii. If your Former Employer is not partnered with Verifent, proceed to Step 12.
3. Enter the details and click ‘Submit Dispute’.
Important Note: The data dispute will be submitted to the employer. Please monitor your email to ensure you do not miss important updates regarding your Data Dispute.
4. You will receive an email notifying you when the employer has responded. Click the link to login to your account to review the dispute updates.
5. To review the data dispute, locate the verification by searching for the tracking number.
a. Click the three dots next to the verification and click ‘Review Data Dispute’.
6. If the employer has updated the verification, please review it by clicking ‘Download’.
7. Are you satisfied with the Employer’s response and/or action?
a. If you agree, click ‘Yes, this dispute is resolved’.
b. If you disagree, click ‘No, I would like to respond’.
8. If you agreed with the Employer’s response and/or action, a new window will pop-up asking you to confirm the dispute has been resolved. Click ‘Yes’ to confirm or ‘No’ to send a message to the Employer.
Important Note: Confirming the dispute has been resolved with close the dispute process.
9. If you disagreed with the Employer’s response and/or action, a new window will pop-up.
a. If you would like to continue the dispute, enter the message you would like to send the Employer and click ‘Send’.
b. If you disagree and would like to close the dispute, check the box highlighted in the blue indicating this, then click ‘Send’.
10. Once the dispute has been submitted, a cover sheet stating the verification has been disputed will be included.
11. Once the Data Dispute has been closed, all of the communication exchanged will be included in the completed verification as the final page.
Important Note: If your Former Employer is partnered with Verifent you are done!
12. Complete the Data Dispute form and click ‘Submit Dispute’.
13. Your dispute has been submitted to Verifent’s Dispute Resolution team. They will confirm receipt and reach out to the Employer on your behalf.
14. You are done!
